MISS AMERICA'S OUTSTANDING TEEN PROGRAM ANNOUNCES
FOURPOINTS MAGAZINE AS SPONSOR
Kasie
Bomer Smith, publisher of a Miss America's trade publication
will share secrets to success
Orlando, FL
– July 24, 2008 - Miss America's
Outstanding Teen (MAOT) organization announced that
fourpoints Magazine will sponsor a dinner at Maggiano's on
August 10th from 6-10pm. Kasie Bomer Smith,
publisher of fourpoints, will be the keynote speaker
for the event. The bi-monthly publication produced by
Serendipity Publishing of Michigan focuses on the latest news
in the Miss America and MAOT organizations.

MAOT,
the "little sister" to Miss America, will host its national
competition in Orlando during the week of August 12-16, 2008
with 52 state representatives competing in various
competitions for a chance to win over $30,000 in college
scholarships and the title of Miss America's Outstanding Teen.
The competition will be held in
the Linda Chapin Theatre at the Orange County Convention
Center in Orlando.
Smith will be discussing what
she refers to as the "Pageant Permanent Record." As a former
titleholder herself, she thinks it is important to discuss the
significance of being a titleholder and what it can do for
you, even after you give up the crown.
"Wherever you go, as a
titleholder, you leave an impression," Smith said, "and all of
those impressions add up to become your permanent record. I
will encourage titleholders, and parents and volunteers, to
think about what kind of permanent record they would like to
leave behind."
In addition, fourpoints
will be raffling off six tickets to Universal Studios to those
who subscribe to the magazine that evening.
"fourpoints has
chosen to be involved with the MAOT program and sponsor the
Maggiano's dinner not only because we believe in the mission
of the program, but because we believe in giving the readers
of fourpoints magazine an inside look at all things
Miss America, and that includes MAOT," said Kasie Bomer Smith.
In addition to sponsoring an
event, fourpoints will have a booth located at the MAOT
Trade Show at the Rosen Centre Hotel from Tuesday, August
12th- Saturday, August 16th. The trade show is open to the
public and fourpoints will be giving away complimentary
copies of their publication to the first few hundred
visitors.
On
Saturday, August 16th fourpoints magazine will hold an
autograph signing event for their cover model winner at the
Linda Chapin Theatre prior to the Miss America's Outstanding
Teen competition. The autograph signing event will begin at
6:45PM and the competition will start at 8PM. Sean Durrett,
of Texas, was chosen as the 2008 Make Me A Cover Model
Winner. Sean has held the titles of Miss Lubbock's
Outstanding Teen 2006, Miss Dallas' Outstanding Teen 2007, Top
10 at Miss Texas' Outstanding Teen 2007, and is currently Miss
Lubbock 2008.
