MISS AMERICA'S OUTSTANDING TEEN CAITLIN BRUNELL IS
HELPING DREAMS OF CENTRAL FLORIDA GIRLS COME TRUE

Orlando, FL –
As many school aged girls and teens head to the mall to go back to school shopping and start searching for that perfect Homecoming dress, many know that new clothes, formal dresses for homecoming, prom and special events are just a dream and not a reality. With the price of fuel, groceries, and supplies skyrocketing, many young teens are learning very early on the hard facts about our current economy.

16-year-old Florida resident, Caitlin Brunell, also the reigning Miss America's Outstanding Teen, not to mention daughter of New Orleans Saints Quarterback Mark Brunell, has founded Caitlin's Closet, a non-profit organization that collects gently used special occasion dresses and distributes them to homecoming and prom hopefuls. Caitlin works all year long collecting gowns for that one special night.

Beginning August 8th, 2008, young ladies from all over the country will head to Orlando to compete in the Miss America's Outstanding Teen (MAOT) scholarship competition (www.maoteen.org). With a weeklong of events and media opportunities, concluding Saturday night August 16th with the final night of competition, Caitlin will work towards collecting gowns for our Central Florida teens.

BLOOMINGDALE'S will be the host of a wonderful day of beauty for the girls on August 11th, however, the best part of that day will be that Central Floridians can stop by Bloomingdales at the Millennia Mall and donate their slightly used gown to Caitlin's Closet and be assured that these gowns will be distributed throughout Central Florida to young ladies that would not have the opportunity otherwise to have a gown for their special night. In addition, Bloomingdale's will be offering a special coupon to those that have donated a gown, to use while they shop.

"I wanted to do something to help other teens," explains Caitlin and I realized that every girl should be able to attend school events and feel good about herself, and I thought I might be able to help make that happen."

Since its founding, Caitlin's Closet has collected more than 5000 gowns and special occasion dresses.
