For the 3rd year in a row, Regalia Magnificent Apparel will outfit the current titleholder and former Miss Americas

Orlando, FL-- Lights, camera, action! Before the curtain rises and the music plays, Miss America's Outstanding Teen has worked tirelessly with a team of experts to make sure her wardrobe is styled, pressed, fashionable and fun. Leading that team is David Lang and Carry O'Neal of Regalia Magnificent Apparel of Orlando, FL.

(MAOT) announced today that Regalia Magnificent Apparel will outfit Caitlin Brunell, Miss America's Outstanding Teen 2008, for all of the events, preliminaries and final night of competition. The Orlando-based company has provided an on-stage wardrobe for every national teen winner during their year of service since the inception of the teen pageant in 2005.

They said their involvement with MAOT seemed like a natural progression with their entire pageant career. Carry O'Neal started his participation with the Miss America Organization (MAO) as a local director in New York in 1984 and David Lang began as a local director for his college pageant in 1981.

"We've seen the MAO Program grow into what it is today, and all along the way, felt like it was the ultimate pageant experience for a young woman," Lang said. "We only wished the teen division started sooner so these young women could reap the obvious benefits of this organization!"

In addition to outfitting Caitlin for the week of the pageant, they helped her with wardrobe throughout her year. For the newly crowned Miss America's Outstanding Teen 2009, Regalia will once again provide a substantial wardrobe package. She will travel to their store in Orlando, Florida and pick out a winning ensemble of gowns, cocktail dresses, suits, shoes and jewelry for her year of service. Some would say it's a fairy tale experience, Lang says "it's all in a days work."

"From the minute I walked into Regalia I felt like a Princess," said Caitlin Brunell. "They helped me project my personality and made me feel confident."

"Caitlin is the epitome of the American Teenager! She's a 'teen' first, and a 'pageant winner' second. As a teen, she sets an amazing example for her peers, with, among other things, her dedication to Caitlin's Closet," said Regalia co-owner, Carry O'Neal. "We were lucky enough to meet with Caitlin the week she won MAOT to assist with her wardrobe, and you've never met a more appreciative, polite and grateful young lady! She is an absolute breath of fresh air!"

MAOT, the "little sister" to Miss America, will host its national competition in Orlando, Florida in August and 52 state representatives will compete in various competitions for a chance to win over $30,000 in college scholarships and the title of Miss America's Outstanding Teen.

In addition to dressing Brunell, Regalia also provides gowns for all of the former Miss Americas in attendance during the pageant. Regalia will have a booth at the MAOT Trade Show from August 12-16, 2008. On Thursday, August 15, 2008, the public will receive fashion tips and styling advice from the dynamic duo at a live event taking place at the MAOT Trade Show at the Rosen Centre Hotel on International Drive. The MAOT Trade Show is open to the public.

Lang and O'Neal said there are so many aspects of the MAO/MAOT Organizations that they love but their favorite is watching how much girls grow from the experience.

"Whether they're the ultimate winner or not, they walk away from MAO/MAOT with an amazing experience and a journey that will benefit them the rest of their lives," said O'Neal.

Veronika Ohlinger, spokesperson for the series, will inspire the girls to dream and succeed

Orlando, FL – August 6, 2008 – Miss America's Outstanding Teen (MAOT) organization announced that The Girls Know How ® Books Series will sponsor an educational workshop for the Miss America's Outstanding Teen Princess Program, a mentoring event for girls between the ages of 6 and 12, on Friday, August 15, 2008. Miss West Virginia's Outstanding Teen 2005, Veronika Ohlinger, will conduct the workshop and will encourage girls to follow their dreams, emphasizing the importance of literacy and leadership.

Because girls approaching middle school often shift attention from achievement and personal goals to social acceptance and body consciousness, entrepreneur and author Ellen Langas Campbell wants them to pursue the careers of their dreams rather than succumb to social pressures.

"We hope to inspire girls to follow their dreams through exposing them to a variety of careers, exceptional role models and characters who might be just like them," says Langas Campbell, who previously was a popular on-air host and corporate officer for television retailer QVC, Inc.

Each book within the fictional series features spirited characters presented with a challenge who are encouraged by a character based on a real-life successful woman.

The latest book in the series, Raising the Roof (ISBN 0-9743604-1-4), spotlights construction. The story follows three fifth-grade girlfriends who attempt to outwit a rival group of boys who have taken over their clubhouse.
Encouraged by the head of a major construction company – a character based on Linda Alvarado, President, Alvarado Construction, Denver, Colo. – they accept the challenge to build their own and learn there is a lot more to building than hammers and nails, says Langas Campbell.

"I'm impressed with the MAOT organization because it encourages girls and young women to pursue achievement through a healthy balance of scholarship, creative pursuits, healthy lifestyles and community involvement, says Langas Campbell. "I believe in supporting and mentoring girls, and developed the Girls Know How(R) series to inspire them to pursue the careers of their dreams. By providing real role models and introducing characters who might be just like them, I hope the books will ignite their imaginations."

"The Girl's Know How Book series is great because it encourages young women to set big goals for their career and teaches them that no matter what their dream career may be, no job is out of reach for anyone," says Veronika Ohlinger, spokesperson. "It's a wonderful series that inspires girls to dream big and believe that they can achieve any goals."

"Veronika is the ideal young woman to be our spokesperson and will be a wonderful role model for girls who want to help make a difference in today's world," says Langas Campbell, the author of the series.

Girls Know How® books encourage readers ages 8-12 to pursue the careers of their dreams. Each book within the fiction series features a girl presented with a challenge who is encouraged by an accomplished woman at the pinnacle of her career, a character based on a real-life successful woman. The series is published by NouSoma Communications, Inc., Downingtown, PA.

MAOT, the "little sister" to Miss America, will host its national competition in Orlando during the week of August 12-16, 2008 with 52 state representatives competing in various competitions for a chance to win over $30,000 in college scholarships and the title of Miss America's Outstanding Teen.
The competition will be held in the Linda Chapin Theatre at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. 42 participants in the MAOT Princess Program will take the stage during the week in a high- energy production number.
