The Hair Product line will conduct a "Mini Makeover" for
participants
Orlando, FL - Miss
America's Outstanding Teen (MAOT) organization announced today
that HairZing, a popular TV Shopping brand of hair products
will sponsor the Princess Fashion Show on Friday, August 15,
2008. The event will include an exciting "mini-makeover,"
runway coaching and a red carpet fashion show for the 42
participants in the Miss America's Outstanding Teen Princess
Program, a mentoring program for girl ages 6-12.
Francesca Kuglen, Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer of the
HairZing is responsible for product development, sales and
shared marketing vision. Francesca has spent 20 years
developing, manufacturing and marketing products in the
accessory and housewares industry. She is well known as a
popular guest on QVC where she demonstrates products such as
Hair Huggers to a viewership of over 87 million households.
"HairZing is
founded on a mission of social responsibility to women and
girls across the globe," said founder Francesca Kuglen. "We
believe education and business are the two key equalizers in
society and when women and girls have access to both, it
empowers them and changes the world. MAOT supports and
inspires teens to 'aspire higher' and is precisely the type of
organization we want to be involved with!"
The company's mission is to bring business to female
entrepreneurs in areas with limited resources and economic
infrastructure. We are building non-traditional, viable and
sustainable supply chains by developing useful products that
can be appreciated everywhere for their beauty and
innovations.
HairZing is the first accessory in this product line, and each
hair accessory is hand-crafted with tender loving care in a
socially responsible manner – by women, for women.
"Every aspect of
our product is focused on women supporting and helping other
women. From the women who design our product, to the women who
handcraft each one, to the girls and women who wear HairZing---we
use mentoring throughout the company," said Kuglen. "This
program gives younger girls a place to feel positive about
themselves and their abilities while having a great time. How
could we possibly not want to be involved?!"
MAOT, the "little sister" to Miss America, will host its
national competition in Orlando during the week of August
12-16, 2008 with 52 state representatives competing in various
competitions for a chance to win over $30,000 in college
scholarships and the title of Miss America's Outstanding Teen.
The competition will be held in the Linda Chapin Theatre at
the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.
Each Princess participant will receive a HairZing in their
goodie bags. HairZing will also sponsor a contestants' dinner
on August 11, 2008 and will conduct a demonstration and leave
each contestant with her own HairZing.
